The Project: 

Camera's For Costa Rica is a colaborative photography project by Redberry Images LLC USA and Angel Valley Corporation Costa Rica. The goal is to provide used digital camera's to families and interested individuals in the surrounding the communities of San Ramon de Alajuela Costa Rica. There is also a sister project designated for the Solentename Islands in Nicaragua, please see Camera's For Nicaragua listed under Projects in the main menu.

The mission of this project is to foster the love of photography and art, to educate by providing basic photography classes and build community through joint ventures such as photography and art exhibits created to showcase the photographs and art work created by this project. Classes and exhibits for this project will be hosted at Angel Valley Bed and Breakfast, Los Angeles Sur Costa Rica and are projected for the winter of 2017. Dates will be announces Fall of 2016. 

The Needs: 

 Many of the communities surrounding San Ramon de Alajuela Costa Rica struggle with the daunting challenge of providing basic needs and education. Camera's, art and basic training in these areas are often seen as luxuries many cannot afford. Through this project, digital cameras, basic instruction and exhibits will be provided free of charge to the recipiants of your donataions.  

We are requestiing digital cameras of at least 8 megapixals in good working condition. We do not have the ability or the funding to repair broken cameras and kindly ask that you send only cameras in new or good condtition. Cameras that use stadard AA batteries that can be purchased at the grocery store are preferred. However, if your camera comes with a lithium type battery, please include the battery charger. Donations providing SD cards, memory sticks are also greatly appreciated.
